Writer Online Pricing and Terms
Pricing
Projects requiring custom content are considered on an individual basis. I charge by the project, not by the hour. You will know before we start how much my contribution will cost.
If you need a steady supply of quality articles and blog posts rather than custom content, you may want to have a look at my Limited Edition content.
On large projects, I will write from our agreed upon outline. Blog posts and articles will be written per your instructions.
I consider the following when bidding on your project:
- The amount of research required
- The complexity of the subject
- The length of the article
- The level of SEO required
- The amount and type of formatting required
- Which of us is responsible for posting the article(s) online
- Your deadline
- The quantity of posts needed
- Whether I am ghostwriting or receiving author credit
- Whether I will get a backlink from your site to mine
- Whether you provide a testimonial for my work
My prices will not be the lowest, but I will be competitive regarding quality, quantity, and delivery time. My articles get good search engine results, so my publishers tell me that I provide a good value. If you have a project, I would like the opportunity to bid. Please don’t assume that my prices will be out of reach.
Terms
I prefer to work on the basis of trust: you trust that I’ll deliver what I promise, and I trust that you’ll pay me. Generally, that arrangement works just fine; but since I was once “ripped off” by an unscrupulous publisher, I have found it necessary to protect myself by instituting the following terms:
When we first start working together, I require a 50% deposit on custom work and the remainder upon final delivery. Once we have built a good working relationship, you can pay 100% on delivery. I prefer to be paid via Paypal, but I also accept checks and credit cards. Credit card processing for a small vendor is expensive, so if you pay by credit card I will add 5% to the final bill.
Elance, Guru, and oDesk Available
If you prefer to work within the “safety net” of escrow, my services are available through elance.com, guru.com, and odesk.com.
Ownership of custom work transfers to you upon payment in full. Ownership of custom work that is in your possession, that remains unpaid after 5 days, will revert back to me.
I do not give refunds, but you have 5 days to inspect my final work and request edits. For our purposes, the definition of edit is to “prepare for publication or presentation by correcting, revising, or adapting”. This definition does not include major re-writes, but does include revising for clarification and correcting errors in content or grammar (a rarity).
Limited Edition PLR is intended for your personal use only and is not to be re-sold. You can, however, repackage it in any way, put your name on it, and give it away. Use it in newsletters, ebooks, articles, blogs, or whatever suits you.
I look forward to discussing your project.
