To Get a Steady Flow of Business, First Prime the Pump

When I was in college, I worked summers as a swimming pool mechanic.  In the spring, I would drain and clean each pool, repair the filter and plumbing lines, and then start the pump.  Since the lines had filled with air over the winter, the pump never worked on the first try; it would just suck air.  In order to get the pump to suck water, I had to fill the lines with enough water to get the pump to “grab”.  Then, it would pump water continuously until it was turned off.

Internet Marketing works much the same way.  There are multiple “pipelines” that channel customers to your business.  If you don’t want your bank account to be “sucking air”, then you have to keep the pipelines filled with prospects.  Today, those pipelines are called Social Media, Video, Podcasts, Local Search Marketing, and Mobile Marketing.  Once you have set up this sort of interactive “web 2.0″ marketing program it will run automatically until you shut it off.  Just like a swimming pool pump.

When your business drops off, your marketing “pump” is just sucking air.  To get your business moving again, you’ll need to “prime the pump” by spending some extra time setting up your “autopilot” marketing system.  Alternately, you can outsource the setup work once you know what to do. But, when you are done, you’ll spend less time prospecting and selling, and more time running your business.

Have a look at the individual components of our marketing system, and then contact us today to find out what’s involved in getting your marketing program to run on autopilot.  It won’t cost you a thing to ask us your questions.
